Toke Makinwa’s husband writes her romantic message for 1-year wedding anniversary

Toke Makinwa and her husband, today January 15, 2015 celebrate their 1-year wedding anniversary.

The OAP and TV host’s husband, Maje Ayidaposted a throw-back picture of themselves together and wrote this very touching love message along with it: ‘He found her most beautiful not when she was all fancied up, but when she wasn’t. When she was lying on the carpet, her hair all a mess, laughing about something that happened years ago. When she wasn’t trying to impress anyone, and taken down that wall she built for most people. That’s when he couldn’t take his eyes off her’. Thank you @tokemakinwa for giving me light.’

On her own, Toke posted a picture from the wedding, which she captioned: ‘Happy Anniversary to the Captain of my ship, it feels like it was only yesterday we started this journey of ours, it’s been 365 days of God’s Favor on us. It takes a real man to love a woman like me, it is a lot of work, I’m not the easiest person in the world to manage but you do it effortlessly. You love me flaws and all and for that I will always say “You the man”. I thank God each day for you, you support and defend us so fiercely and even when the skies are grey I know I can count on you. Here is wishing us a 100 more year’s together, loooooooool okay maybe 80. We would be old, wrinkly and without teeth but may our jokes still be funny, may love fill our hearts still and may we look back on our lives and smile deeply. May God give us the grace to LIVE.
